Search Expense Budgets


The Search Budget function will allow you to access the Expense Budget Browse screen to view all of the budget items that have been created.

To Search Expense Budgets:

1.  From the "Accounting" menu, select "Budgets" then "Expense Budgets"  and "Search Expense Budgets" to go to the "Expense Budgets Browse" screen.

2.  By default, all budgets that have been entered will display.  You can filter the budgets that are displayed by entering a single GL Account No. or Account Name, or by changing the Office, Accounting Year or Budget Version using the drop down lists.

3.  To access & revise any budget displayed on the browse screen, click the Account No. link to go directly to the Budget screen.  Alternatively, click the box to the left of the Account No., change the budget amount in any or all months, and click to save your changes. To delete a budget, click the box to the left of the Account No. and click .

4.  To add a GL expense budget that has not been entered, click to be taken directly Budget screen and input your new budget.


You can also use actual amounts to update a different budget version and create a more accurate version throughout the year.

To Update a Budget from Actuals:

1.  From the "Accounting" menu, select "Budgets" then "Expense Budgets"  and "Search Expense Budgets" to go to the "Expense Budgets Browse" screen.

2.  Select the Budget Version you wish to update from actuals.

3.  Click to be taken to the "Update Budget from Actuals" screen.

4.  Ensure the Budget Year is the correct year for the budget update.

5.  Use the drop down menu to select the Budget Version that you want to add with actuals.  For example, if you are updating your original budget to reflect actuals through the 1st quarter, you can add a budget version called "1Q Update"  and use that version to add actuals for the 1st quarter.

6.  Click and your new budget version will be updated with actuals.
